BAC Water
Bacteriostatic water (BAC water) is sterile water containing a small amount (0.9%) of benzyl alcohol, which inhibits bacterial growth. It’s commonly used to dilute or reconstitute medications—especially peptides and injectable drugs—for multi-dose use. The preservative allows the vial to be used multiple times within a limited period when handled properly. BAC water is not for large-volume injections and should be used according to medical guidelines to maintain sterility and safety.
